New Venue for
Osborne Refrigerators BDS National Championships.

SATURDAY 1st OCTOBER

As many of you may have heard Towerlands, the home of the Championships for the last four years is closing at the end of August, so we have had to relocate the championships. The show committee have visited a number of venues and the one that stood out was Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, near Buckingham. For those of you who don’t know the centre it is truly magnificent, located in 100 acres of rolling countryside it boasts a 72m x 35m International indoor arena with seating for 700, viewing galleries, restaurant seating for 120, cafe and bar facilities overlooking the arena. Next
to this is a 72m x 20m arena which we will use as a collecting ring and outdoors the centre has a number of large arenas and plenty of warm up space. So rather than taking a step back the committee feel we are taking a big step forward. All lorry parking is on hard standing with hook up facilities and the permanent stables are of a standard that will make most us want to stay forever.

However we have had to make a few changes. Our friends from the Hackney Horse Society have decided to go back to a standalone championship so they will not be joining us this year. The show will run over one day only on Saturday 1st October and will continue to incorporate various showing classes for everyone in addition to those for the Osborne qualifiers. The day will be packed with interest, culminating in an evening performance at the end of which we will crown our Osborne Refrigerators National Champion. Full details of the evening programme will be confirmed as soon as possible so watch the BDS web site for details.

For spectators the entry fee for the day and evening performance is just £10.00 per car. Entry fees for the competitors will be maintained at 2010 rates and the Schedule will be out shortly. Our aim is to give you all the best value for money we can and your entry will give unlimited access to all the arenas for you and your grooms.
